I loved the beautiful decor of the hotel, with its cozy and charming ambiance. The soft colors and gentle lighting created a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for senior guests like myself. The common areas were well-maintained and accessible, making it easy for me to navigate and enjoy my time at the hotel.
The only thing I would have asked for to make the vacation even better for senior people is clearer signage throughout the hotel. Sometimes it was a bit confusing finding my way around, and it would have been helpful to have clear directions or maps available.

The hotel had a charming and cozy atmosphere, with beautiful traditional features that added to its character. The communal areas were well-decorated and gave a warm and welcoming feeling. As a senior, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with easy-to-navigate corridors and well-maintained staircases that had sturdy handrails to provide support. It made me feel safe and comfortable during my stay.
It would have been even better if there were more staff available to assist the older guests. Sometimes, it felt like the children working there were overwhelmed with their responsibilities and might have benefited from some extra help in attending to the needs of senior visitors.

The location was absolutely incredible, close to everything we needed with stunning riverside walks. The accommodation was incredibly spacious and bright, with lots of natural light flooding in through the many windows. The traditional window shutters added a beautiful touch. The cleanliness and comfort were top-notch, and the fully-equipped kitchen with a big fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave made our stay super convenient. The local pubs were fantastic and the people of Kelso were welcoming and friendly. Our host even left us a lovely bottle of wine and a card upon arrival. The beds were so comfortable and the layout of the property was thoughtfully designed. it was an amazing experience in a perfect location, with all the amenities we could ask for.

Tea towel shortage.

The location was epic, right near The Maltings Theatre & Cinema where we caught some sick shows. The property was super spacious and had everything we needed, especially the kitchen where we cooked up some banging meals. Beds were mega comfy too!
The only thing we wished for was some more party vibes at the hotel. It would have been unreal if they had a cool bar or lounge area where we could hang out and meet other young peeps.

The Kelso Cobbles has a charming and traditional decor that reminded me of my childhood. The cozy sitting area and the beautiful window shutters added a touch of elegance to the whole place. The fact that there were plenty of windows allowed for natural light to fill the rooms, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the accommodation was spacious, making it easy to move around without feeling cramped. Additionally, the central location of the hotel meant that I had easy access to all the amenities I needed, as well as delightful riverside walks.
As a senior woman, I would have appreciated if there was a handrail on the inside stairs. It would have made it easier for me and my fellow senior travelers to navigate them safely.
